Table Spoons (6) - Hanoverian Rattail - Dublin 1731 by William Williamson I - 19.9cm long; 356g combined weight - RA/5021

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Early 18th century Irish silver table spoons are relatively scarce, but a straight set of six is very rare. With an average weight of 60 grams, this set has been made from a thick gauge of silver and consequently has a good hefty feel in the hand. The hallmarks are of varying clarity, although the best date letter is clear and the maker's marks can be made out as the distinctively shaped "WW" with flower surmount mark of William Williamson I.

Each spoon is engraved to the reverse terminal with an original betrothal triangle and condition is very good with just a tiny amount of wear to a few bowl tips. A fabulous set of early Dublin-made spoons.
