Table Spoons (6) - Hanoverian pattern - London 1741 by Jessie McFarlan - 20cm long; 395g combined weight - WG/1839

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Jessie McFarlan entered her "JM" in script mark within a widow's lozenge on October 31st 1739, following the death of her husband and continued the business for just a few short years, making this a very rare mark for a lady silversmith.

This set of six Georgian silver table spoons were made in 1741 by Jessie McFarlan and are in splendid antique condition with thick bowl tips and a lovely patina. All the spoons are engraved to their reverse terminals with a crest featuring an excited stork. Made in the Hanoverian pattern, they each have a double drop heel to the underside of their bowls and a good sturdy weight. A rare set of great quality spoons.
