What a delightful set of Georgian silver-gilt teaspoons!

These cast, naturalistic teaspoons are of the very highest quality with wavy, floral scroll handles and cleverly made bowls with shell to the backs and plain insides. The crest to the reverse terminals is indicative of their high quality and features a five-pearl coronet.

Mid-18th century cast teaspoons are often unmarked so the addition of a maker's mark is a great bonus. The mark reads "ID" in script with an acorn above and is most likely the mark of John Derussat I (The Silver Society: Journal 14 2002).

The condition is superb with rich, all-over original gilding and neither wear, repair nor damage.
