Dessert Spoons (6) - Feather-edge with Cartouche - Dublin circa 1785 by Benjamin Tait - 17.2cm long; 136g combined weight - KF/8642a

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a great half dozen Irish silver dessert spoons from the late 18th century. Dating from the 1780's, these attractive spoons are engraved with a feather edge border to the front handles and have an engraved cartouche that features a stag crest.

There is a good set of appropriate Dublin hallmarks to each spoon that include the BT maker's mark for Benjamin Tait, but as was invariably the case with smaller Irish pieces of the age, they lack a date letter. The condition is excellent throughout with good bowl tips and crisp engraving. A nice set of Irish spoons.
