The Service
We are pleased to be offering a fabulous quality silver 6 place settings canteen in Bright Vine Pattern that was retailed in the early 1970’s by Garrards, the Crown Jewellers.
All the flatware was hand-wrought in the traditional fashion of the London silversmiths and consequently each piece in this service has a good hefty weight and simply oozes high quality. There are no personalised engravings.
The silver handled knives are fitted with top quality Sheffield made stainless steel blades. They bear Garrard hallmarks for Sheffield 1972. The teaspoons were added at a later date and are hallmarked London 1981 by C J Vander.
Bright Vine Pattern
Bright Vine Pattern was first produced in the mid-19th century and has the same shape to the handle as the King’s & Queen’s group of flatware patterns, but has a pleasing combination of vine leaves and grapes for the raised decoration. It is a very scarce pattern due to the premium price charged at manufacture. The highly ornate decoration demands that each piece is made with a thick gauge of silver and thus makes it one of the most prestigious of all flatware patterns.

Presentation
This canteen is presented in new anti-tarnish cutlery rolls. These navy blue rolls have individual pockets to hold 12 items per roll.
