£695.00
Basting Spoon - Hanoverian Shell-back - London 1751 by Elizabeth Oldfield - 34.4cm long; 150g - SG/4039
This is a huge George II period silver spoon in stunning condition.
This 13.5" long serving spoon was made by the lady silversmith Elizabeth Oldfield and has a crisp, well-detailed shell motif to the reverse of the bowl. The spoon has an original engraved crest to the reverse of the terminal and is a really impressive spoon to hold with a lovely, solid feel in the hand. The condition is excellent, with a full, unworn bowl, crisp decoration and engraving and legible hallmarks. A fabulous spoon!
