Table Lighter - Champagne Bottle in Wine Cooler - London 1895 by William Hutton & Sons - 7cm high; 4cm diameter; 84g - DP/7297

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a lovely and unusual silver spirit table lighter in the form of a champagne bottle popping its cork from a wine cooler.

The pail-form wine cooler has two lug handles and a coopered design. The bottle has a wick running through it to give the effect of the contents fizzing out after the cork has been removed. The bottle can be unscrewed to reveal the paraffin reservoir from which the light is fueled. It's small size means that it can easily be placed on a dining table for after-dinner cigars. It bears original "EDM" engraved initials to one side and has a registration number to the underside. A lovely novelty piece of silver in fine condition.
