This is a very fine quality silver tumbler cup made in London and retailed by the Oxford retailer Rowells. The Oxford colleges all have their own style of drinking vessel, whether it be a tun, beaker or a tumbler cup and this example would like have been made for an Oxford don or student. It has been from a good gauge of silver and consequently has a nice hefty weight in the hand. Free from personalised engravings, this Victorian tumbler cup remains in excellent condition.
