Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This novelty silver sailor's cap mimics the famous jockey cap style of caddy spoon and has a special significance for caddy spoon collectors. The spoon was commissioned by the Society of Caddy Spoon Collectors to commemorate the life of Captain John D Norie. John Norie was the founder of the Society and wrote the primary reference book on the subject - "Caddy Spoons: An Illustrated Guide". The nautical theme is appropriate as Norie was as a navigational pilot for Trinity House during his working life.

This spoon has a good hefty feel in the hand and is in excellent condition. It is engraved to the interior with "12 09 63" the date of the first meeting of the Society of Caddy Spoon Collectors, "JDN" - Norie's initials and "12 09 02" the date of Norie's passing. This spoon was one of a limited edition of 48 spoons.
