Sorry, this item is out of stock.

An exceptionally beautiful and rare silver posy vase. This fantastic Victorian posy vase in superb condition and is gilt around the top bead rim. The thistle-shaped cup section of the vase is superbly decorated with openwork thistle flowers and leaves. The legs can be folded away when not in use and are secured in place by an umbrella which when pulled against its' spring will release the three legs - each of which is individually sprung and held in check by a restraining chain.

The legs are hidden away when this vase is used for carrying posies and then can be opened out to stand on a table and display the flowers at a later time. The flowers are held in place by a split pin that can be pushed in from both sides.
