This is a fabulous quality, mid-18th century silver tea kettle on stand. Each piece is correct for the set and it even has its original spirit burner. The lovely round bullet-shape of the kettle contrasts nicely with the gadroon border around the top of each section and is further reflected in the feet. There is a sturdy hinged handle with leather cover to protect the user from the heat and a pull-of cover to allow easy filling.

Made by the top George II period silversmith, George Methuen, this kettle is in superb condition throughout, with no personalised engravings and clear sets of hallmarks.
