Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very rare example of a meat skewer in one of the most sought after of all patterns - Stag Hunt. The top end of the skewer depicts a scene of a stag being hunted by a pack of hounds. The reverse side is decorated with hunting trophies and a vacant cartouche. This Victorian skewer was made by Chawner & Company under the leadership of George W Adams, this company were the most important 19th century makers of silver flatware.

Stag Hunt pattern was designed and made by Paul Storr for the Royal goldsmiths Rundell, Bridge & Rundell during the Regency period.
