Silver Rum Label, 1840 by Francis Clark
£110.00
Wine Label - Rum; Flower Head Swag - Birmingham 1840 by Francis Clark - 5cm wide; 4.8g - WS/4310
This is an unusual early Victorian silver Rum label made by the scarcely encountered Birmingham maker, Francis Clark.
The bottle ticket takes the form of a cut-cornered rectangular title piece upon which RUM is engraved and swag made up of a variety of flower heads below. Although light in weight, this label has survived in remarkably fine condition.
