The "mussel" is probably the most handsome of all silver caddy spoons and certainly one of the most cherished.
Made by Francis Higgins, this cast, novelty spoon has a pleasing two-tone gilt finish with the gold showing inside the mussel shell bowl and to the leaves that cling to the tendril handle. This highly-prized Victorian spoon has a wonderful feeling of top drawer quality and remains in excellent condition.
