Silver Double-ended Medicine Spoon, 1926
Sold
Medicine Spoon - Double-ended - London 1926 by Francis Higgins & Son - 13.3cm long; 32g - SG/2780
Double-ended silver medicine spoons were used to administer different size doses and this example has a teaspoon and demi-tasse (coffee) bowl at either end.
This spoon was made in the twenties by Wakely & Wheeler who were a top London based silversmithing company and remains in fine condition.
The final photo showing two spoons compares this spoon (right) with another medicine spoon currently in stock which has teaspoon and dessert sized bowls (see bottom photos on orange background).
