Scottish Table Spoon, 1767
Table Spoon - Hanoverian - Edinburgh 1767 by John Clark - 21.3cm long; 78g - PN/5709
This is a really fine example of a Scottish 18th century silver table spoon. With its really hefty weight of 78 grams it oozes quality in the hand. The condition is equally good as it still retains after 250 years of use a good thick bowl tip and a clear set of hallmarks including the unusual feature of a full name maker's mark "CLARK". It carries original engraved owner's initials to the reverse side. A very fine spoon.
