Excellent George II period Scottish teapot. This hefty teapot is in superb original condition with a beautiful chased design around the shoulders and cover. The flush, secret hinge is a delight and hidden amongst the chasing. The original silver handle is in good order as are the heat insulators. The pot is fully marked to the underside and was made by one of the leading Scottish silversmiths of the period. A fantastic teapot at a sensible price!
