The rare sauce name of "Quin" is engraved in to this late 18th century silver bottle ticket. Bearing the script IR mark of the specialist wine label maker John Rich, this sauce ticket remains in fine condition throughout.

 

Recipe for QUIN'S FISH SAUCE. Half a pint of walnut pickle, the same of mushroom pickle, six anchovies pounded, six anchovies whole, and half a tea-spoonful of cayenne. Shake it up well, when it is to be used. See Foods of England Project website for more.
