Port Wine Label - Scroll with vine & grapes - London circa 1770 by Margaret Binley - 6.2cm wide - QT/4418

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very scarce form of silver wine label by Margaret Binley. It is a large label with openwork decoration leaving the silver border as vine tendrils with bunches of grapes. The PORT name is also pierced out from a scroll banner and this has resulted in the maker's mark being part cut out too - the "M" is visible making Margaret Binley the prime candidate. This unusual bottle ticket is in great condition.
