Mustard Spoon - Fiddle Pattern - Peterhead circa 1810 by George Angus - 13cm long; 13.5g - SG/3326

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This very rare silver mustard spoon was made by George Angus in the northeastern Scottish port of Peterhead.

This fiddle pattern spoon could either be used for scooping mustard or eating eggs and is marked to the reverse side with the cherished "PHD" Scottish provincial town mark for Peterhead together with two examples of the "GA" maker's mark of George Angus. The front terminal is engraved with a contemporary to manufacture "H" in script and the bowl retains much of its original gilding. The spoon is fine condition with just a little scratching to the bowl.
