This top quality silver wine label bears the rare name of Paxaretta and is a smaller version of a series of matching labels that we are currently offering and can be seen via the photos below. Dating from the Victorian period and made by William Summers, the major bottle ticket maker of the period, this label remains in fine condition throughout.
Paxaretta is the name of a Spanish sweet wine made generally with Pedro Ximenez grapes and finished by mixing the wine with essences. It was also popular in Scotland for tainting whisky casts for added flavour.
