These are a fabulous pair of silver rummer style goblets that stand on a pedestal foot and are engraved with an excellent crest and motto. The Latin motto above the crest "Simplex Munditiis" (translates to "Simple Elegance") is very apt for the goblets themselves, but is the family motto of the Simonds (Symons or Symonds) family. The crest depicts an ermine passant with a trefoil in its mouth. These rummers have a generous capacity and good solid feel in the hand. The hallmarks are a little worn, but the overall condition is excellent.
