Dishes (pair) - Oval on Pedestal Foot - Georg Jensen Marks and London 1931 by George Stockwell (importer) for Georg Jensen - 12.5cm x 9.3cm; 5.5cm high; 210g combined weight - FP/7405

This is a beautiful pair of sterling silver dishes in a fusion of arts & crafts and Art Deco that is so distinctively Georg Jensen.

Amongst all manner of practical purposes, the dishes could be used for displaying sweets, nibbles or mints. They stand on a nicely decorated pedestal foot and the slighly dipped dishes retain their original spot-hammer marks.

The inside of each base is well-marked with Georg Jensen workshop marks for the period, Danish 925 sterling silver marks and the designer mark for the man himself. The underside of the dishes are also stamped with English import hallmarks for 1931.

An excellent pair of Georg Jensen silver dishes in stunning condition.
