These are a lovely pair of Scottish provincial fiddle pattern silver table or serving spoons made in Inverness, Scotland. A sign of the rich heritage of these pieces are the engraved crests to the terminals that feature an otter and the motto "Debonnaire" surmount in Scottish style. This is the crest and motto of the Scottish branch of the Bethune (or Beaton) family.

These Scottish silver table spoons bears the "INS" and cornucopia marks for Inverness and the "RN" maker's mark for Robert Naughten. They are in fine condition throughout with good thick bowl tips, a nice colour and neither damage nor repair.
