The Service
We are pleased to be offering a fine quality hand-wrought 20th Century silver 8 place settings canteen in Old English Pattern. The service provides for seven pieces per 8 place settings with table spoons as an optional extra.
All the spoons and forks were made in London by one of the best flatware makers and benefit from having no personalised engravings to them. Two teaspoons are a different date/maker. The knives are hallmarked for Sheffield 1980.
Old English Pattern
Old English Pattern was first introduced circa 1770 and has always been a very favoured pattern due to its elegant and simple form. It has been produced continually to the present day with a resurgence of popularity in the early 20th Century.
