Caddy Spoon - Overlapping 'Oak Leaves' - Birmingham 1821 by Lawrence & Co. - 7.2cm long; 6.4g - AJ/9382
This is a form of caddy spoon we have not previously encountered and with its bowl in the form of five overlapping oak leaves, it is a very fine example. The pretty handle has a bifurcated stem and junction to the bowl and the handle is beautifully engraved with leaf motifs. There is a clear set of hallmarks to the underside of the terminal and the condition is excellent throughout.
