Table Spoon - Hanoverian - Newcastle 1722 by Isaac Cookson - 20.3cm long; 55g - NJ/8762a

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a stunning example of a rare early 18th century Newcastle made and hallmarked silver table spoon. This Georgian spoon has lovely feel to it, has a prominent ridge to the front, a bold heel to the reverse of the bowl and is in fine condition with a thick bowl tip and good patina. There is an engraved betrothal triangle to the reverse terminal that dates to 1730. It has an excellent set of clear hallmarks for the most important Newcastle silversmith of the George I and George II periods. As a good a spoon of this period from Newcastle, as you could wish to find!
