A very good quality Victorian silver mustard scoop in Old English pattern made by one of the most prominent Newcastle silversmiths. This spoon has a very sturdy feel and has an excellent patina. The Newcastle hallmarks to the reverse are in fine order and date from the penultimate date letter for the Newcastle assay office before its closure in 1883.
