Caddy Spoon - Fiddle pattern - Newcastle 1839 by Peter Lambert (of Berwick-upon-Tweed) - 88mm long - FL/3225

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This fiddle pattern silver caddy spoon bears the scarce makers mark "PL" for Peter Lambert who worked from the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and sent his wares to Newcastle for assay and marking. The Newcastle hallmarks of this early Victorian caddy spoon, include the tardy duty mark depicting the late King William IV (died in 1837) - Newcastle were slow in replacing their old punches! The caddy spoon has a nice feel to it with script engraved letter "B" to the terminal.
