Misspelling: Silver Medeira Label, Birmingham 1826

This is a rare version of a silver Madeira wine label that has been engraved with a misspelled version of the word.

The label was was made by Joseph Taylor of Birmingham and is engraved as it is might perhaps have sounded in the local accent - Medeira. The border of this rounded rectangular bottle tag is embossed with vine and grapes and the reverse stamped with a full set of George IV period Birmingham hallmarks. This label is in excellent condition.
