This is a wonderful example of a Britannia Standard silver tray in miniature. Dating from the transitional year for the reigns of Queen Anne and George I, this miniature tea tray bears a superb set of hallmarks with a clear date letter and "CL" (conjoined) maker's mark for David Clayton. The tray has a naïve pattern to the top surface of an engraved 6 petal flower to the centre with roundels around the edge. It stands on 4 half-ball feet and is in excellent original condition.
