Spirit Kettle on Stand - Miniature - London circa 1720 by John Le Sage - 123mm high; 90mm wide (inc. spout) 120 grams weight - Ref. No.: VN/7924
This early 18th Century spirit kettle has the rare bonus of retaining all it's original features; swing hinged turned wooden handle, removable cover with wooden finial, three legged stand and burner with removable wick holder. It is a good size with a solid weight and is in fine condition. It bears a very clear maker's mark to the inside of the cover. A very similar spirit kettle on stand can be seen as figure 220 in "Miniature Silver Toys" by Victor Houart..
