Milk Jug - Figural Chased, Leaf feet - London 1820 by Edward Edwards - 10.2cm high; 17cm wide; 442g - VQ/9093

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an outstanding quality Georgian silver milk or cream jug in the Chinoiserie taste. It has a tremendously heavy weight and is a good large size. The body is chased all round with scenes amongst a profusion of flowers and foliate scrolls. The pouring spout is in the form of a fabulous bearded sage and the interior is gilt to give an extra feeling of opulence. The jug stands on four nicely made leaf feet and the handle is acanthus decorated.

This is a superior quality milk jug in fabulous condition.
