Feathered Leaf Caddy Spoon, 1807

One of the most beautiful of all caddy spoon designs! The "Feathered Leaf" was a speciality of William Wardell, but this is undoubtedly the finest of the variants. The feathers are made from filigree silver around a central oval panel. The loop wire handle has an applied leaf with the letter "N" engraved to the top. The centre of the bowl is marked with the Wardell's "W" maker's mark and a full set of hallmarks are located to the underside of the handle. The condition is excellent and this is a truly superb caddy spoon.
