Asparagus Tongs - King's pattern - London 1823 by William Knight - 26.5cm long; 235g - CN/4993</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a fabulous pair of George IV period silver serving tongs. The King's Pattern decoration is super crisp to both arms with the added bonus of no personalised engravings. The blades are finely pierced with scrolls: one blade has a raised lip to the end to prevent slippage whilst serving. These tongs have a restraining bar to the centre to prevent over stretching. The condition is superb and with a weight of over 7 troy ounces, the quality is top class too.

Originally intended for use with asparagus, these Georgian tongs in practice could be used for a variety of serving purposes.
