Sauce Collar - Ketchup; oblong - London 1798 by John Tayleur - 2.9cm long; 2.9cm diameter collar - TF/5911

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A great example of a Georgian silver ketchup label hung from a round neck ring and made by a specialist maker of the type. It is in excellent condition.

John Tayleur specialised in making neck-rings, the label itself being plain in decoration and narrow rectangular in shape. His IT maker’s mark is readily identifiable from the defective top of the stamp and differentiates him from other IT makers of the period. “Sauce Labels” by John Salter page 112.
