Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Irish silver from the early 18th century is scarce and this is a very competitively priced Rattail table spoon.

Made by Robert Forbes who died in 1718, this spoon will date from circa 1715. It is stamped with the "RF" maker's mark and the crowned harp - n.b. Irish spoons of this period were rarely struck with a date letter. The spoon has a good weight and feeling of quality and bears an engraved crest of a bird to the terminal. It is in generally fine condition, although purists might say it is a little bright.
