A magnificent and rare spoon! This huge has spoon has a very generous sized bowl (110mm x 62mm) and the unusual feature of a marrow scoop terminal. These large marrow spoons are very rare and seemed to have been a speciality of the maker - Edward Pocock. They must have been made for the very wealthiest clients as this one also bears an engraved coat-of-arms. The condition and patina are excellent.
