Marrow Spoon (Hash spoon proportions) - Hanoverian rat-tail pattern - London 1730 by Edward Pocock - 352mm long, 123g weight - Ref.: BV/7096

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A magnificent and      rare spoon! This huge has spoon has a very generous sized bowl (110mm x      62mm) and the unusual feature of a marrow scoop terminal. These large      marrow spoons are very rare and seemed to have been a speciality of the      maker - Edward Pocock. They must have been made for the very wealthiest      clients as this one also bears an engraved coat-of-arms. The condition and      patina are excellent.

The photo below shows our current stock of marrow      spoons/scoops and shows the comparative size of this spoon (uppermost)      against a standard table spoon sized- marrow spoon (3rd from top)
