Hipflask with Telescopic Beaker Lid, 1879

We have not previously encountered a spirit flask such as this one. The flask itself is fairly standard being made of glass with a leather jacket to protect it. It has a screw thread top and is fitted with a silver cap. The cap can be pulled open and cleverly transforms in to a drinking beaker. The beaker is fully hallmarked and has a design registration kite mark. A really clever, practicable object!
