Salver - Round with Bead Border - London 1790 by Hester Bateman - 19cm diameter; 311g - NR/3194

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a great opportunity to buy a competitively priced silver salver by the much admired lady silversmith Hester Bateman and made in her final year of silversmithing - she retired from the family business in 1790. This 8* diameter salver stands on 3 bracket feet each repeating the beadwork that encompasses the top rim. To the centre is an excellent engraved crest of a griffin emanating from the Prince of Wales' feathers. The hallmarks to the underside are very clear and include the sought after "HB" maker's mark in cursive script. This Georgian waiter tray is in fine condition with a nice all over patina - to be ultra picky we would point out that some small sections of the beading around the edge is a tiny bit worn, otherwise a great salver in great condition.
