18ct Gold Vinaigrette - Egg-shaped - London 1807 by Giles Loyer - 2.5cm diameter; 3.8cm high; 18g - VU/6016

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This outstanding vinaigrette is fully hallmarked for 18ct gold and was made by the specialist gold worker Giles Loyer. It has a wonderful egg-shape that has been expertly made as it is able to stand upright (slight lean) showing an even distribution of metal throughout. The shape lends itself to being lovingly cupped in the hand and has a good solid weight. The egg can be unscrewed in the centre to reveal a pierced grill that can be clipped out with a finger nail. The lower half bears the full set of Georgian 18ct hallmarks and the cover appropriately bears the "GL" maker's mark. This is a truly fantastic quality Golden Egg vinaigrette in excellent condition.
