Britannia Standard Marrow Scoop, 1721

Sold
Marrow Scoop - Double-ended - London 1721 by Thomas Mann - 216mm long; 40g - Ref. No.: GL/2360
This George I marrow scoop was made soon after the re-introduction of Sterling as an optional standard for making silverware in England. Many silversmith continued in their old ways by using the more pure Britannia Standard and this marrow scoop is an example of that work. It is in excellent condition with a good MA new standard makers mark and legible other marks.
