Georgian Leaf Caddy Spoon, Hennell 1829

Sold
Caddy Spoon - Leaf - London 1829 by Robert Hennell - 78 long - Ref. No.: KJ/8318
A fantastic quality Georgian period leaf caddy spoon. London made "leaves" are scarce and we do not recall seeing this particular type before - it is possibly the best quality that we have seen! It has a large bowl formed as three vine leaves with swirling tendrils. The handle is made up as two separate tendrils that loop together. Robert Hennell is well known as one of the premier hollowware makers of the 19th century and caddy spoons by this maker are rare. Excellent condition throughout.
