Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fabulous and competitively priced Georgian silver basket made by Richard Mills who specialised in making this type of item. The sides of the basket has four different style of piercing within panels, with each separated by a wheat stem and opposite panels reflecting each other. The whole stands on a superbly pierced pedestal foot and is carried by a hinged and clever twine effect swing handle. The attention to detail is quite stunning. The base is engraved with contemporary to manufacture initials within a festooned cartouche. The hallmarks are located adjacent to the rope twist border. Unusually for this style of basket the condition remains excellent with neither damage nor repair.
