Georg Jensen Cosmos Coffee Pot

A magnificent silver coffee pot made by Georg Jensen! This really is one of Jensen's most beautiful creations, it has a fabulous shape and appearance and the high quality comes across when holding it in the hand. The carved ebony handle terminates in a flower bud and the body has an all over spot hammered finish to it. The lift-off cover is fitted with a finial which mirrors the whole design with a half fluted lower section. A full set of post-1945 Jensen workshop Sterling marks can be found under the base, together with English import hallmarks. It is in mint condition.

Johan Rhode designed Cosmos pattern for Georg Jensen in 1915 and was design number 45 (as stamped to the underside). It's beautiful streamlined appearance has ensured its endurance as one of Jensen's most popular hollowware designs.
