Caddy Spoon - 'Frying Pan' - Birmingham 1807 - 6.8cm long - YH/5532</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fine example of a die-stamped silver caddy spoon with circular bowl - often called "Frying pans". This spoon is in excellent original condition and has engraved initials to the front terminal. The hallmarks are to be found around the inside edge of the bowl, but lack a maker's mark.

Although bearing no maker's mark, this spoon was almost certainly made by William Pugh. An identical example, except for the engraved initials, was made by Pugh in 1807 and shown on plate 61a in "Caddy Spoons:An Illustrated Guide" by John Norie.
