This is an extremely rare example of a Forres made silver toddy ladle with an excellent mark for the makers James & Patrick Riach.
This Scottish provincial toddy ladle is in fiddle pattern and engraved to the front terminal with an original letter "B" in Gothic script. It has been stamped with a single example of the highly cherished "I&PR FORs" mark. The ladle is in fine condition with a good patina.
Forres is a town and former royal burgh situated in the north of Scotland on the Moray coast, approximately 25 miles east of Inverness.
