'Fish Scales' Caddy Spoon, 1810 Wardell & Kempson

Little is known about the Birmingham silversmithing company run by Wardell and Kempson and their silver caddy spoon designs are unique to them. This caddy spoon is no exception and is made in the typical way for the firm with a distinctively different plain handle attached to a cleverly decorated bowl with a fish-scale and shell design.

The hallmarks are located within the bowl with a separate punch for the "W" and "K" initials of the owners. This Georgian caddy spoon remains in excellent condition.
