An extremely rare example of a spatula top spoon. The spatula top is a distinctively West Country style and this example has a lovely set of hallmarks for the third year of the Exeter Assay Office - the makers mark is poorly struck but still legible. The rattail has a beaded design and despite its light weight the spoon has survived in fine condition.
