Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is an outstanding example of an Exeter made, George II period, silver Chocolate pot. The quality and condition is first rate throughout and includes a set of very clear hallmarks to both the outer body and inside the hinged cover.

This piece just exudes quality and has an attractive engraved crest depicting a stag to the centre of the body. There is an original removable insert with turned finial to the cover which allowed the user to stir the hot chocolate within. The pot has a very good hefty weight and the quality of the cast spout and the handle joins provide other evidence of fine workmanship.

The condition is excellent throughout with a lovely patina and a nice worn-in colour to the carved wooden handle. This is a truly fabulous piece of early Exeter silver.
